OWH Sketch Challenge #8

It’s another Stars & Stamps sketch challenge!

I’m going to go ahead and admit up front that I’m also CASEing a card by Nan Howell, who was this week’s featured card maker at S&S.  CASE is stamper jargon for (I forget the actual letters) swiping someone’s design idea because it was awesome and imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.

So, here’s this week’s sketch:

And here’s my card.

hello-03-16-10

About the card:  The cardstock is Sahara Sand and Always Artichoke.  I used both sides of a cammo designer paper I bought a while back from I don’t remember where.  I won’t tell you how many of these I had to cut to figure out how to get the opposite diagonal.  Really. It’s embarrassing.  The stamp is Wildfowl (one of the stamp sets I’m babysitting for my sister).  The sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes.  Both are stamped in Chocolate Chip craft ink.

This is one of those cards that really is better looking in person.  I had the hardest time photographing it. Of course Miss Mimi was trying to help.

This Saturday is the OWH Blog Hop.  Really looking forward to it.

Taps is playing outside my window.  Day is done…

One more thing.  My BFF Julie has (finally) started a stamping blog! Just in time for the blog hop.  Please go visit her.  She’s the one who created this monster, err, taught me to stamp.
